Talk Is Free Theatre is a registered charitable organization.
TIFT nourishes the artistic community by producing a wide range of off-centre, inventive and rare programming.
Our artistic work, community involvement and business innovation make us an entrepreneurial "octopus," interested in leading all sorts of adventures, for the benefit of multiple stakeholders at once.
We especially strive to:
• Improve the working standards of artists and invite stunning artistic authority, not only for the projects we produce, but in broader community endeavours
• Involve patrons as protagonists in their artistic experiences through our immersive work
• Address the well-being of local youth by celebrating the unique individualities of each participant in how we involve them in our artistic endeavours
• Build a distinct local professional artistic community by providing increased opportunities to local professional artists and by inviting a greater number of artists to call Barrie their home
• Partner with companies across the world to deliver unique projects for a new audience
Our Annual Giving Campaign makes gifting to the theatre simple and rewarding. Offering a pledge from as low as $5 per month (that proverbial “cup of coffee”) there is a program to suit every budget. Simply arranging a credit card payment is easy and means you never have to remember to send a cheque!
