Ten years ago, we founded TIFT in Barrie in hope of creating a theatre company that was unique and offered audiences the chance to see off-centre works performed by some of Canada’s best and brightest artists. From that simple vision grew a vibrant theatrical community that has produced over fifty productions, many of which were World Premieres, and toured to Serbia, England, Russia, Ukraine and New York City to great acclaim.

Theatre is about collaboration and our success is not only the result of our skilled artists, but it is made possible by the steadfast support of our patrons. We have been truly privileged to have had such tremendous support from the Barrie community over the last nine years - and for that we thank you!

This year, we are thrilled to be celebrating our 10th Anniversary Season at the brand new Mady Centre for the Performing Arts in downtown Barrie. We will be kicking of our residency at the theatre with a fantastic lineup featuring two World Premieres.

Do You Turn Somersaults?  is a touching comedy of hope and compassion; based on the novel by William Goldman, No Way To Treat A Lady is a musical comedy thriller about a publicity crazed actor turned killer and the endearing detective hot on his heels; Great Expectations is an adaption of the Dickens’ novel that deals with how the times we live in have changed; Parkdale Peter Pan - an adaption of the classic story by J.M. Barrie about the boy who never grows up is fun for the whole family!

I look forward to celebrating our first major anniversary season with you and I look forward to many more years of bringing exciting and innovative programming to the city of Barrie.
